Website and checkout

The static website does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Hosting infrastructure may process request metadata such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and timestamps for delivery and security. Checkout uses Paddle.js, loaded when you choose to buy, and Paddle processes payment and checkout information under its privacy notice.

The website requests an expiring, random purchase reference. It does not ask for an activation credential or receive your card details. Payment details are entered in Paddle checkout.

Licensing and fulfillment

The licensing service retrieves the buyer’s email and customer identity from Paddle, stores purchase and license records, and emails the activation credential through Resend. The fulfillment queue encrypts pending email contents and removes the queued body when delivery finishes or permanently fails. An encrypted purchase credential remains available for the existing one-time recovery process.

When you choose online activation in the application, the licensing service processes the activation request, application version, and a machine-binding hash to apply workstation licensing. The desktop application verifies the signed license locally and has no licensing heartbeat.

Providers and purposes

Purchase, license, and delivery information is used to fulfill your order and provide licensing/support. Security and audit records help prevent abuse and investigate failures. Paddle and Resend process the information needed to provide payment and email services. See Resend’s privacy policy for its processing information.

Retention

Purchase and licensing records are retained for as long as needed to provide perpetual license activation, entitlement verification, updates, support, fraud prevention, and applicable legal or accounting obligations. Operational and delivery logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability.

Contact support@configwitness.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. Applicable rights and any required retention depend on your location and the records involved. Do not include an activation credential in ordinary correspondence.
